Hvittensand: heatwave session in june

By kimandre in My local spots

Had an awesome session acouple of weeks ago at Hvittensand in Larvik.

Early June, wind was coming in at about 14-16 knots, no wetsuit(!?), 30 degrees celcius in the air, 20 in the water. To think that just 2 weeks ago I had a 5/3 wetsuit with cotton under, so I would not to freeze to death. What a feeling; the wind, the weather, the beach, all my friends .. life is peachy.

My friend Jørgen snapped a few shots with his camera, first in the light light winds, and then again when the wind picked up.

We played around in the light light winds for a while with a “surfboard” (best investment ever), and then finally the wind started to pick up. And it was time to start working on the tricks.

KGB (Backroll with a frontside handelpass)
(didn’t land back heelside, so not a full KGB, but the motion is the same)

Hopefully we will get lots and lots of awesome days like that this summer. I will at least do my wind-dance every night, in hope of good winds.
