Guro had a perfect day in “Safety bay”, got up on the board both ways and started to get the hang off how to slow down and accelerate on the board. I had an epic session aswell, perfect flat water, first thing I did was a huge low backmobe, stomped it. Super proud off myself, I manged to get another 2 low bachmobes before I started crashing them again. So much fun to ride on flat water …

Christmas eve, we went out to “Woodmans point”, where we had a photo session and just an epic ride. Perfect flat water, offshore winds, nicely powered on my 9m2. Well, the images speak for themselfs.

We gathered all our friends, Nick (SWE) and Michelle (AU), Haakan (SWE), Brian (CAN) and Coco (CAN), Damian (AU) and Eve (SWE) and Andy (EST) and Kaisa (EST). We all set out on a roadtrip down to Augusta, just south of Margarete River.
First destination was a secret spot in Mandurah, perfect flat water and shallow. Just like in a dream, but we where warned by the locals about coblers (a fish that has 2 poisons spikes on it’s neek). Guro had a great session, starting to get the feel of riding the kite and getting upwind on the board. Andy was really unlucky and got stung by a cobler, so we decided to set up camp and stay in Mandurah on the secret spot for the night. Andy needed to have his foot in hot water for about 5 hours to break down the poison protein. He got half a bottle of rum, and his spirits picked up right away.

Next day, we headed down to Margarete River for lunch. The scenery was just amazing, sitting on the
top of the cliff overlooking the entire river mouth and big waves rolling in. After that we all drove out to check out this magical place called “The Zoo”. This place must have the sickest shore break I have ever seen. The waves was massive, some of them 6-7 meters high just crushing down on the shore. They literlly shook the ground and roar was just breath taking.

We finally managed to get down to Augusta, but no wind there. So we scooped out the spot, had some bbq and found a camping ground. Had a chilled out partey and went to sleep, exasted.
Next day we had a meeting, and some people stayed in Augusta for a couple of more days, others drove south, and others went north. We headed north, hoping to catch some epic days in Lancelin before new years eve.
